Although he serves the hipster suburb of Brunswick in Melbourne, you won’t get a recommendation on where to get a good coffee from local glazier Bashir Srour. He’s a tea man. But, if you’re a pizza lover, he knows the best place to get it.
“400 Gradi is the best pizza joint and renowned in the area. Or if you like Middle Eastern cuisine, Sydney Road is worth a visit.”
Bashir, or Butch, to his mates, has worked with O'Brien for 15 years and has served the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne that entire time. He’s done big commercial jobs and smaller home repairs. Butch even made a cameo on a season of The Block swapping out some plain glass for frosted glass. There isn’t much he hasn’t seen, but the diversity of his job is one of the things he loves most about it.
“No two days are the same. The area I serve is a good mix of old and new; buildings as well as culture. This means the jobs are varied and different.”
When he’s not working, you’ll find Butch at the gym or with his family.
“I’d love to be on Australian Ninja Warrior one day but am equally happy training the kids at Martial Arts. I try to keep active in any way I can.”
