What you need to know
- If you are now making electrical alterations and additions to a patient treatment area wired before 2007 it will require that the room or area to be brought up to comply with the current Australian Standards AS3000:2018 & AS3003:2018 for body protected areas.
- Any patient treatment area room/area that was installed and certified post-2007 that has had its annual test may be modified with only the new work needing to comply with the current standard. An alteration sticker can then be applied to the green body protected sign.
