An RCD switch should monitor the flow of electricity through the circuit it is connected to. If any faults that could lead to any hazards such as electrocution are detected by a functioning RCD, the device will shut off the power to the circuit to prevent serious injury caused by electric shock. RCD’s can save lives and minimise injuries from any accidents that may arise, so it is important that your RCD’s are tested on a regular basis to ensure that they are functioning properly.

Your RCD needs to be tested at regular intervals if your workplace is to comply with OH&S policies.

O’Brien Electrical Greensborough can assist you by testing your RCD’s to ensure they are working well and compliant. We recommend that your RCD’s should be tested at least every three months and carried out by a certified RCD tester such as O’Brien Electrical Greensborough. We have the expertise and latest testing equipment to perform all testing requirements.
