Serving over 100 residents, Lynden Aged Care was undergoing a major refurbishment and was looking for ways to reduce operating expenses, particularly electricity costs. Sustainability was also a key focus for them, and we were eager to ensure that their facility was as environmentally friendly as possible.

Our commercial solar team designed a 99.75kW solar system to meet their financial and environmental goals. This system, which includes 210 Jinko Solar Tiger Neo panels and a Sungrow SG110CX inverter, is expected to generate over 140,000kWh of energy annually and has an impressive efficiency rate of 87%.

Big Savings and a Big Impact

The benefits of Lynden Aged Care are huge. In the first year alone, they’re expected to see a 21% reduction in energy costs, which will lead to nearly $90,000 in annual savings in the coming years. Their investment in solar energy is set to deliver a 406% return on investment (ROI), proving that going green isn’t just great for the environment—it makes financial sense, too.

The environmental impact is just as significant. Thanks to the new solar system, Lynden Aged Care will avoid burning more than 47,000 kilograms of coal each year. That’s the equivalent of planting over 2,500 trees annually, helping the facility align with its mission of creating a more sustainable future for its residents and the wider community.
