About Us

O’Brien Electrical Taree, formerly PF&R Brown Electrical, was established in 1973 when Peter and Robyn Brown moved to the Manning Valley. In 1982 Peter founded PF&R Brown Electrical.

Peter’s son, Jeff Brown, then joined the company in 1989, after completing an electrical apprenticeship with Oxley County Council. When Peter retired in 2001, Jeff and his wife Sue took over the business, which continues to thrive to this day.

Peter was a strong advocate for the industry and played an active role with the industry body, National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA). This passion to improve our industry has been passed onto Jeff, who after more than 20 years as the local Branch chairman, now sits on the NECA NSW executive committee.
