See O’Brien® Vis-Tech in action!
We needed a way to demo how this amazing rain repellent works.
So, we applied O’Brien® Vis-Tech to only the driver’s side of the windscreen, for a side-by-side comparison, then took to the highway when a storm hit.
The result? The instant water repellency of O’Brien® Vis-Tech helped maintain a clear view of the road ahead, even during the heaviest downpour.

How O’Brien® Vis-Tech improves windscreen optical clarity while potentially extending the life of your wipers
O’Brien® Vis-Tech repels rainwater, making it bead and slide off easily when driving over 65 km/hr, enhancing your driving visibility during wet weather.
The repellent nature of O’Brien® Vis-Tech helps keep debris, insects and other dirt from sticking to the windscreen, making the maintenance of your windscreen much easier. It makes cleaning off frost and ice easy as well!
Comfortable Driving Experience
The O’Brien® Vis-Tech treatment reduces glare, especially when driving at night, helping to improve your comfort.

Tips for maintaining O’Brien® Vis-Tech
Great news, you don’t need to do anything to enjoy the clarity of O’Brien® Vis-Tech once applied. Remember, the treatment will last 12 months (or up to 20,000 KMs), so you will notice its effectiveness reduce after this time.
Just remember to reach out to your local friendly O’Brien® experts for a re-application at least once a year or every 20,000 kms (whichever comes first).
Note that even though you may be using your windscreen wipers less with O’Brien® Vis-Tech, you should still regularly clean your wiper blades to extend their lifespan. Check out our expert tips for wiper maintenance here.

It acts like a coating, but you won’t see any visual difference on the windscreen when it’s not wet. When rainwater hits your windscreen while the vehicle is not moving, you’ll see the rain bead, forming into droplets. When you’re driving over 65 km/hr, you’ll notice that the raindrops will continue to bead and move off the windscreen easily.
To know if your O'Brien® Vis-Tech treatment is effective, you need to drive your car while it’s raining – you should notice the difference between before and after the application. If you are not satisfied with the treatment or think that there is an issue with how it’s been applied (e.g. there is a section on your windscreen that appears different when water touches it), please return to your local O'Brien® AutoGlass Service Centre where you had the treatment applied. The Service Centre team will be happy to assess your windscreen and address any issue found with the treatment.
O’Brien® Vis-Tech should last up to 12 months or up to 20,000 kms. Other than setting a reminder for these milestones, you can roughly judge by what you see on your windscreen. When you notice rain not beading when it hits your windscreen while driving and when visibility worsens in heavy rain, then it’s time to contact your nearest O’Brien® AutoGlass Service Centre.
There is no specific after-care or ongoing maintenance required for this treatment. Follow what you normally do to care for your car such as car washing.
